Thomas Bøgballe stiller op til bestyrelsen i IIA Danmark for at styrke intern revision i industrivirksomheder, sikre internationalt perspektiv og fastholde høj etik og faglighed / Thomas Bøgballe is running for the IIA Denmark board to strengthen internal audit in industrial companies, promote an international perspective, and uphold strong ethics and professionalism.

Jeg stiller op til bestyrelsen i IIA Danmark med et klart formål: at styrke intern revisions relevans og rolle i industrivirksomheder – og at sikre, at vores fag udvikler sig med både integritet og internationalt udsyn.

Med mere end 25 års erfaring inden for intern revision, risikostyring og governance – herunder ledende stillinger i internationale industrikoncerner – har jeg et solidt grundlag for at bidrage til bestyrelsens arbejde. Jeg brænder for at omsætte globale standarder til praktisk værdi og for at fremme en stærk faglig kultur i vores profession.

Jeg er desuden bestyrelsesmedlem i Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Denmark Chapter, hvor jeg arbejder med at styrke forebyggelse og opdagelse af økonomisk kriminalitet. Jeg ser stærke synergier mellem ACFE og IIA – særligt i grænsefeltet mellem intern revision, etik, og bekæmpelse af svig.

Mine fokusområder:

• Styrke intern revision i industrivirksomheder
  Give en tydelig stemme til industriens særlige behov og sikre, at erfaringer herfra får plads i IIA Danmarks arbejde.

• Fremme et internationalt perspektiv
  Sikre, at IIA medlemmer i Danmark får adgang til globale trends, metoder og netværk – og bringe internationale erfaringer i spil nationalt.

• Beskytte og udvikle vores faglige og etiske fundament
  Arbejde for, at intern revision fortsat bygger på høj integritet, kvalitet og løbende kompetenceudvikling.

I am running for the board of IIA Denmark with a clear goal: to strengthen the relevance and impact of internal audit in industrial companies – and to ensure that our profession continues to evolve with integrity and a global mindset.

With over 25 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, and governance – including leadership roles in international industrial groups – I bring a strong foundation and practical insight to the board. I am passionate about turning global standards into local value and promoting a strong professional culture within our field.

I also serve on the board of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Denmark Chapter, where I help promote the detection and prevention of financial crime. I see strong synergies between ACFE and IIA, especially in the overlap between internal audit, ethics, and fraud risk management.

My focus areas:

• Strengthen internal audit in industrial companies
  Provide a strong voice for the unique needs of the industrial sector and bring that perspective into IIA Denmark’s agenda.

• Promote an international perspective
  Ensure IIA members in Demark benefit from global trends, methodologies, and networks – and turn international insights into practical impact.

• Safeguard and advance our ethical and professional foundation
  Support continued integrity, quality, and development within the internal audit profession.
